Even after closing their doors, they're now up the creek with a hefty fine.
"File-sharing site TorrentSpy has been ordered to pay $110m (56m) in damages to the Motion Picture Association of America for copyright infringement.

The ruling from a court in the United States comes just weeks after the website shut down.

TorrentSpy facilitated the illegal sharing of copyright files by hosting a collection of links to films and music.

TorrentSpy parent company Valence Media and its owners Justin Bunnell and Wes Park have filed for bankruptcy."

Software icon Software | Windows XP may stick around
Steve Balmer has stated if customers want XP, XP they will have.
"Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer said the company could re-evaluate its plans to phase out Windows XP by June 30, if customers demand that it stick around. So far, they have not.

"XP will hit an end-of-life. We have announced one. If customer feedback varies, we can always wake up smarter, but right now, we have a plan for end-of-life for new XP shipments," Ballmer said during a Thursday news conference in Belgium, according to Reuters.

Big-name computer makers are still scheduled to have to stop selling models with Windows XP installed by the end of June. Mainstream technical support will continue to be available for Windows XP through April 2009, and more limited support will continue through April 2014."

Hardware icon Hardware | The desktop Asus EeePC
"ASUS is looking to cash in on that success with its new desktop PC which is called the "Digital Home System EP20". However, right below the name of the device on the ASUS placard is the familiar "Easy to Play ; Easy to Learn ; Easy to Work" catchphrase which places the EP20 squarely in Eee PC territory.

Hard specs on the devices are hard to come by, but ASUS notes that the device is much smaller than typical than typical desktops and that it has "good enough performance". Other niceties include Hi-Fi Stereo and Dolby Digital Live support. Also noteworthy is the fact that the EP20 will soldier on with the Eee PC Linux operating system (which is based on Xandros Linux)."
